Boas Lembranças is Marcel Vallès’ debut album, bringing together eight original compositions that reflect a deeply personal musical journey shaped by three years of immersion in South America. Rooted in Brazilian traditions while embracing jazz, improvisation and contemporary influences, the album captures Vallès’ distinctive voice as both guitarist and composer.
Recorded as an intimate duo with acclaimed percussionist Steve Shehan (Paul Simon, Peter Gabriel, Bob Dylan), the album was produced between Spain and France, allowing the dialogue between guitar and percussion to remain at the heart of every piece. The result is a warm, organic recording where melody, rhythm and silence are given equal importance.
